HOW TO FIX IT
PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT
Good Thinking
If
you are grappling with a complicated problem. You don’t need to cry yourself to
sleep. Instead, find grace and keep yourself calm. And look around you. Your
resources or efforts might be limited. And the things that need solutions might
be a lot. And the limitedness might frustrate you. However, don’t focus on the
limited resources. Having a small budget or having no budget at all is not the
problem. The actual problem could be yourself. Therefore, in circumstances as
this. Ensure that you are not the problem. That is the first step to fixing a
difficult problem. Get the ‘you’ problem out of the problem. And look ahead.
You need calmness and focus. And when you remain calm during turbulent times.
It does not mean that you are suppressing the complexity of the problem. When
you choose calmness over panic. It means you are deeply interested in finding
the right solution.
Remaining calm is a success strategy. When everything around gives you enough reasons to panic. Defy the seduction. The most important reality out of this complex situation is not how big the problem appears. But rather about what is going on inside you. It is about the quality of your thoughts and choices that matter. If the quality of your thoughts is good. You will see the light at the end of the tunnel. So forget about the pressure in the complex problem. Don’t allow that pressure to influence your behavior. Guard your mind. Fight to remain objective. Things are already too complicated. Don’t add a panic twist. You already identified that the problem is really bad. Almost beyond your control. And this only means one thing. Moving forward with a lot of caution. Because any tiny mistake will bring your world crushing down.
Don’t make that mistake. You don’t want everything to fall apart. You cannot afford that kind of setback. A lot of things are at stake. And they all depend on how you make your decisions. Settling for calmness is wisdom. Choosing sanity over panic is the correct dose for the moment. Good thinking is needed at this point. You are dealing with a difficult situation. And some complex problems sometimes. Only need a good thinker. And this problem is no exception. So you need to be careful about everything. You are navigating between survival and ruin. Proceed with care. Put your head to work. Allow it to process things in a calm orderly space. To get to good thinking. You will have to create the right circumstances for your head to produce good quality thoughts. You will have to work hard for the perfect conditions.
It is
only through good thinking that you can produce. A thought, which tells you
that a good thing can come out of a bad situation. You just need to trust more
than you doubt. And look around you again. Your resources might be limited.
However, during desperate times. Improvisation is the queen. It saves the day.
Because your quest is between survival and death. You have to do something. An
action must be taken. Improvisation can help you survive. It can save a life. It
can seal a leaking hole. You cannot get to improvisation unless you are calm.
There are so many temptations that can easily prevent you from being clear. But
allow your head to serve you. Giving your mind an opportunity to think will
lead you somewhere. A thinking head will generate a couple of ideas. Ending up
with ideas will not automatically lead to a solution.
It is one thing to end up with a few viable ideas. And a totally different thing altogether to arrive at the right solution. The mere fact that your head generated ideas does not necessarily mean that those ideas work. However, be bold. Try some of those ideas out. And see where they land you. If you look around you and see two thousand different things. Don’t get excited. Your complicated problem does not need two thousand solutions. Your problem only needs one right action out of the thousands. Your job is to identify the best solution out of the two thousand different things. Your solutions are not that straightforward. Understand that from the beginning. And shift your focus from the complexity of the problem. Problems are always hard. That is their nature. Because they are your nemesis. So forget about having a good time while facing a problem.
People panic because of the hardness in the problems. Some cry because they cannot see how they will come out of the difficult part of the problem. Don’t be one of these people. Panicking, crying, outbursts, and blame games are not strategies. They are all derailments. When you pick one of these responses. You are only acting out of emotions. And emotions are blind spots. If you waste too much time crying or complaining. You will not get to the right solution. And things will get worse as you postpone. If you must make progress. Move very quickly to the second step of solving a complex problem. Get obstacles out of the way. Don’t approach a complicated problem with emotions. Emotions create obstacles, which stall the process. When you are emotional. The quality of your decisions is not good.
Defeated Before You Start
You
will get defeated before you start. Because when you begin to get emotional.
You validate the complexity in the problem. You are crying because you don’t
know how to climb a mountain. You panic because you feel inadequate. You start
complaining because you don’t know how to take responsibility. All these
reactions focus on the complexity of the problem. And the more the focus goes
to the problem. The bigger the problem becomes. The more defeated you become.
When you get defeated in the mind. You lose the battle. The problem will walk
all over you. And frustrate you further than the beginning. You don’t want
this. Don’t create a complex path out of a complication. Get your eyes on finding
a solution. This is where your attention should be from the start.
Your problem needs an urgent solution. Failure to find a solution. You will not survive. And crying won’t solve a difficult problem. Don’t be emotional when solving difficult things. Be sober. Save these emotions for later. Remember how you scrambled after the problem is solved. Perhaps, you can cry later not now. However, right now. You need to be as impartial as, impartial has ever been. Fight for clarity. And detach yourself from emotions. Things are already out of hand. Everything is looking precarious. Kick the temptation to imitate your circumstances. Don’t be nervous. Don’t get panicked. Keep yourself sane. And go back to the two thousand different things. Sift through each one of them. And attempt to find one useful thing out of them. Something must work out of the two thousand.
You just don’t know which one of them will work. However, have faith. And focus on being a good thinker. One good thought will lead you to the solution. Hold unto to the hope of finding one useful thing. Engage your mind. By the time you will be done assessing each item on the list. One thing will stick out. That will be the solution you have been searching for all that long. Implement it. And see the shock on your face. The one thing will be effective. It will fix the leaking roof. That one call will change the atmosphere around your environment. It will turn things from hopeless to triumph. Your complicated problem will finally have a solution. And your life will change. But don’t get comfortable. Sometimes, you will be forced to start all over again. However, if you learn to keep a positive posture in your mind.
You will not sink no matter the circumstances. Forget about how bad things look. Just teach yourself how to think strategically. Thinking strategically is the act of balancing between falling or remaining steady. Getting here could be one of your most difficult choices. However, if the focus is on solving a problem. Force yourself to think strategically. You would rather be strategic and survive. Rather than panic and sink. So, can you fix it?
