THINK MORE THAN A HUMAN PLAN

CULTIVATING GROWTH MINDSET An excited beautiful woman mapping out more than a human plan /Photo Courtesy /Kindel Media A Human Plan A human plan is limited. It imagines current and future needs of a person or an organization Within specific defined confines. An organization only carries out specific tasks based on the current available resources. A human only plans for a specific period of time. A human being is limited in terms of both money and time. A human resource department only anticipates the current and future training. And hiring needs of an organization based on the current budget. A human plan must be planned by a human being. Someone who is willing to create time and resources. A human plan requires a visionary. A human plan requires people who are willing to implement it. Without people, resources, and tools. A human plan might not make sense. It is always limited in a way. Because it is based on the limitations, boldness, or fears of a person. That is what a hu...

Not Even Half Way

Looking back at how the year started reveals progress. We have been hard at work. Brainstorming and creating these beautiful stories for you. The whole body of work at Nangila Chronicles is a labor of love. We are determined. Focused. Committed. And intentional about what we do. There is no doubt in our minds. Creating these stories is what we love to do. Our lead writer is a writer y DNA. So there is no day, week, or month where you will wake up to nothing. We will keep stirring our pot. Something new will always be cooking. And this is our promise. You haven’t seen anything yet. Our best stories are yet to come. Our future is as bright as, the stars in the sky. We will keep writing urgent stories until the last problem is solved. We are not even half way. The world is even not close to solving some of its challenging problems.

We have a long way to go as human beings. We are yet to see genuine leaders or governments. Ordinary people have real problems. Problems that require the intervention of their respective governments. However, those governments haven’t leveled up. People are still suffering. Children are still suffering. As people and societies lean towards self-centeredness. As long as, their stomachs are fed. As long as, their needs are met. As long as, they are okay. Nothing else matters other than their small circles. This is the world that we live in today. A world that does not care about people in need. People would rather gather in their small circles and bury their heads in the sand. Instead, of hearing the cry of a little boy or girl who has been abandoned somewhere on the street. We are definitely not doing good as a society.

Let Us Remember

THE FUTURE LOOKS BRIGHT

A few months back. We covered a story of a homeless man. The man was sleeping on the front porch of a church. Yet, despite being visible. Or even being at the right place. He was not being seen. The church did not see him. People passing on the road did not see him either. He slept on that church verandah for a several months. Before he suddenly disappeared. If places that are supposed to be compassionate forget compassion. How about the rough world? Who would really see these homeless people and see their needs? Who actually cares? And who is actually leading. Is your government leading? Are problems being solved where you are? Are you solving your own problems? These are the real issues. Issues that require leadership. Problems that require people to be honest. But the world we live in right now is running short of honesty.

These are some of the things that break our hearts as we look back. Whereas, we see a bright future ahead. We are also reminded of challenges that might stand in the way of that bright future. Ending up with many unresolved things create gridlocks. People become trapped in the indecisiveness of their leaders or themselves. These indecisiveness stalls progress. Yet, there is so much that needs to be done. But we have a recommendation to our beloved readers. Don’t look the other way. Face the problem. Whether it is your own problem or the problem of another person. A homeless man, might not necessarily walk to the leadership of a church and ask for help. But he made an effort. He came to the verandah. Try and see him. See him for who he is. It is a man without a roof on his head. And if a roof is missing. There are a lot of basic things that are also missing.

There are a lot of things that might result into a man ending up being homeless. But don’t remind the homeless man those things. Start with a simple conversation. Ask him what is going on. And let him express himself. And even if you don’t get him to speak on the first day. Don’t give up on him. A simple ‘hello,’ might awaken something in him. When people find themselves in impossible situations. Often times, what they need is compassion. In that moment, they just want a non-judgmental environment. They need someone who understands and gets them. Someone who is listening. In that vulnerable moment. A listening ear looks like medicine. Be that medicine. Help if you are in a position. Be empathetic. See the need. Not the mistakes that led that person there. Meet the urgent needs. See the man. See the child. See the woman. Begin to care about what the homeless man is going through.

Don’t Break Us Again

THE FUTURE LOOKS BRIGHT

Seeing that man sitting there. Without help was the most heartbreaking encounter of 2025. We were heartbroken not because he was homeless. We were brokenhearted because of the place where he was. How could the church be so cold-hearted? What was that church teaching that man? Is there love at all in this world? Do we really have real churches, which are founded on the principles of the Bible? Ones that are about Christ and nothing else? No one can love Christ. And have a problem loving a neighbor. The homeless man is a neighbor. The street kid is a neighbor. So is a hungry boy or woman. The love that Jesus showed on the cross was kind. It was capable of laying down its own life for the sake of others. A person who got real Christ-like love can sacrifice. That was the way. So come back to the right way.

Not just for the day. Not for the occasion. But for life. These needs will keep coming up. And the world will continue to become cold. Don’t form a ghetto. Get out of your own echo-chamber. And see other people. People who don’t belong to your profession or community. See human beings. And become that good neighbor. A government might not level-up. But you level up. Take responsibility. Solve your problems. The progress that we saw when we looked back. Did not happen because we had perfect conditions. We were in the same world that did not see a homeless man. We were in the same world that has people who destroy good things. We were in the same society that hosts envious people. People who have toxic hearts and minds. But we made up our minds. Counselled our hearts. And got focused.

Doing the right thing in a dark world does not require perfect conditions. Doing the right thing only requires you to decide. Choose the kind of person you want to become. Choose your values too. Choose progress. Choose discipline. Choose a good heart. A bright future that we see ahead is not built on a perfect world. We will encounter challenges. But those challenges will not stop us from growing. They will not rob us our soul. We will tell stories. We will thrive. And build in the storm. We will continue to see things that almost everyone does not want to see. We will solve problems. We will spread positive vibes in a dark world. No one will turn our hearts toxic. We will flourish in a dark world.

Our stories will carry the light. And you will flourish too. Just make the right decisions. Fix things that look wrong around you. And that way. We will all make progress. Thank you for visiting. Reading our stories. And keeping us company. Just remember. It is not too late to change something. If you have been this person that doesn’t care. Does not solve problems. And does not take responsibility. You still have time. Make the right decision. Unburden yourself and be responsible. See you in a bright future. A bustling 2026!
