Good Feelings

Isn’t it a wonderful time that we are talking about shopping experience? It is a delightful time of the year. People are busy. Excited and ready to mingle. People are travelling to different parties of the world. And it is really good for family members to catch up. Eat delicious meals. And actually laugh. It is good to have people come together and celebrate love, family, and progress. It is refreshing for people who haven’t seen each other for a long time, to finally meet. Have a good talk. Fun moments. And find time to rest. All these activities not only strengthen the soul but also bring a kind of relief that only family can offer. When a mother reunites with her children. Sees how they are doing. She gets a kind of joy and peace of mind. Having young and older children at home enjoying each other’s company.

So when we talk about the shopping experience. We mean it. We mean both the actual shopping where people visit markets or supermarkets to buy goods and services. And the other shopping experience that you as an individual create. But first. Think about this one. For shopping to be enjoyable. There must be a certain memorable experience that shoppers are always looking for in a store. That little, sweet experience that people feel is a make or break. It determines whether a business gets returning customers or not. Good shopping experiences create loyal customers for a business. Businesses that understand the importance of good shopping experience. Do everything to create one for their lovely customers. I am not sure if you will find one this holiday season. But if you end up with one.

Tell yourself you deserve it. And let your money do the talking. Because you know what? You work hard. And for that, you merit a good time. So go out and have some fun shopping. I love a good shopping experience too. And on your behalf. I appreciate businesses that go out of their way to create exceptional shopping experiences for their customers. When businesses go out of their way to deliberately create these moments. It means they are standing on business. And placing their money where their mouths are. Being memorable does not come from mere words. There must be action behind the words. People must do the heavy lifting. To make customers really want to go back to their business premises. It all depends on the types of business models and mission different businesses use to launch themselves in the market.

The serious ones make it their mission to create these memories from day one. And now unto to the other shopping experience. Our mission today was to talk about this second shopping experience. A very important shopping indeed. And remind you that if you are looking to be memorable. This is the time to build the shopping experience. Not because family will be in the house. But rather because it is a good thing. It is a good thing to create long-lasting memories with your family, friends, and even strangers. And this is why. When you become a parent. You have responsibility. And it is your duty as a parent or guardian to build as much memory as possible with your children. The small things that sometimes, appear insignificant are important. Delicious meals. Good leadership. Strong family relations.

And effective communication. All make a difference in the life of a child. Little children never forget how they are treated at home. Either home is a warm place where they find solace and strength or home is a den of lions. In most occasions. The people in charge of a home determine the experience. The way a mother or father behaves at home matters.

Little children do not just love delicious food. They also love living in a wonderful place. Where they receive good counsel. Home training. Learn responsibility, and eventually become their own persons. And when they finally grow up. The little things that stood out while growing up becomes special marks. These special marks in turn shape their overall image about their family, parents, and siblings.  Children that grew up in loving families. Always have plenty of reasons why they want to go back home. And around this time. Parents that did a good job. And build good experiences in the memories of their children. Might end up with almost everyone. Their tables will be full this holiday season because each one of the family member remembered something. And that unique thought that one remembered, conceived him or her that travelling to be with family is the best thing.

Because at home with family is the best place to be right now. Some are travelling for the hearty laughter. Some because of the delicious meal from mama. And some for the love and synergy built in the family. Look, the shopping experience has to be positive. For people to return where they haven’t been for a long time. Nobody wants to go where he or she has to tolerated. People return where they are loved. Valued and respected. People return where they have been nurtured. Where they have heard good things spoken to them. People remember where a blessing was spoken. They go where there is unity. People return where thousands came together to solve a common problem. They remember the sacrifice that was made on their behalf. The little good things that almost meant nothing. Those are the memories. Those little things are the ones make a good memory. And remind people to look back.

And such shopping experiences are built deliberately. And some people even don’t thing about it. You don’t have to say something. However, your actions speak louder. The way you carry yourself. How you behave around strangers. The way you treat other people. How you talk to other people. All these things matter. Whereas, all these might appear as normal every day events. They are not just normal. Your behavior is a seed. And it lives long enough to tell a story. A story that you might like or never like at all. The things that you take for granted. Might cost you one day. The careless words that you throw around without thinking are also shopping experiences. There is nothing about you that does not matter. Everything matters. The shopping experience is all about how you make people feel. Nobody forgets a feeling.

During this festive season. If you have family. And end up spending Christmas alone. Don’t get depressed. Instead, think about the shopping experience in the minds of your loved ones. Is the feeling positive or negative? If you did not build memories with your children. Don’t expect them to show up for Christmas just because you are their mother. If that good feeling is missing. People will come up with all forms of excuses. Just to escape spending time with people they like or enjoy their company. And that is sad. I hope you don’t end up alone. Build memories with your friends, family, and strangers. Find the little things that unite people. Don’t live for today only. Think about tomorrow. Think about how you make people feel. What is the last word about you in people’s minds? Is the last word positive or negative? Don’t ruin everything you touch or stand on. Don’t be irresponsible, undisciplined, disrespectful, toxic. And expect people to come hang with you. That is the worst shopping experience anyone can offer.
