A CORNER OF WISDOM
PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT
We Are Surely Not Ready
By
now, you should know that I love life. I love life not because it is always
kind to me. I love life for what it is. Life the boss. It has no explanations
or notices. It just happens. And somehow. You have to keep up. I personally
love that part of life just happening. When it eventually happens. It gets to
reveal secrets only a few people knew. For example, a boy who convinced himself
that he is ready for life. To only end up with a few knock ups. That reveals, the
one who looked ready. Was not ready at all. Keeping up. Filling the gaps. Taking
up responsibility. And adulting up are not easy. You have to be the right
person. One that learns. Someone who listens and corrects. One who does not
take offense with correction. But just rather a sponge not the bob. This
is the kind of person that life loves rewarding. A listening person. A swift
and responsible one.
Whereas, life is ready to reward a person who exercises more common sense. Modern life is gradually running out of the person I just described. Most people in modern life are interested in chasing vanity. They want to be popular. Majority want to be politically correct. Hang out on the most popular platforms. Discussing trivia things at the expense of real conversations. A modern person has unimaginable appetite for things that don’t hold. Like the noise. Like being the loudest person in the room. One that talks all the time. In fact, we have very few listeners in modern life. Some have confused social media for a library. And they think, by reading on social media. They are the smartest people in town. That social media has everything they need. And that they are whole by just focusing on visual visibility.
Yet, life is a mystery of its own. There is as much dirt as there is purity. To get to the bottom of either side. Actually depends on the type of person you are. If you are the fleeting one. You will only see the surface. And settle for the rough things that life offers. Yet, there is beauty beneath the surface. Can you imagine that of all the bad things happening in modern life? We still have good things happening. Miracles are happening. Life still keeps a corner of wisdom. Where the wise find the refreshing of the soul. For me that is what makes life beautiful. That even in a dark world. People are still finding good counsel. One that is changing their lives forever. That in the midst of various chaos. Some people have learned that the greatest war is not the external one. But one inside in my own heart. If we only focused on our own hearts. There could be less war in the world.
Refreshing of the Soul
In fact, when society got busy losing itself. Life added more good than bad. A person in a certain corner of the world committed to self-consciousness. A couple in a different corner of the world devoted to raising their children right. Young people in a certain continent realized that they are taking too long to mature. And decided to level up. Life is not losing anyone or anything. Life is working harder to ensure no one remains behind. And as a result, it is springing up all kinds of things. Things that you like. And those that you don’t like. Life is working to ensure we all end up with the things we like. So yes. Wars, chaos, miracles, more cold hearts, and meanness are growing at the same rate. But you will have to decide what you want. A cold heart or a miracle. An opportunity or anxiety. Kindness or hate.
Life is balanced enough to afford us the comforts we need. Moreover, life is objective enough to serve both comfort and discomforts on the same table. It does all these things with confidence because there is a corner of wisdom everywhere you turn. If you are looking for renewal. You will find it. If another is interested in chaos. That too is available. Life has gone past complains. Life has also gone past blame games. No one should say, ‘I did not know.’ Instead, someone can say. I ended up this way because I failed to seek good counsel. Life has everything you need. And the mere fact that you can get anything in life does not mean, taking everything. Have some restraint. Be a little bit organized. Don’t always be mainstream. Be just you. And asks a simple question. What does me want? List your needs.
Find You
Choose your own voice over the voices of other people. Prioritize the right things. Things that are more you. And less about them. Focus on the battles in front you as opposed to battles around you. Fight for a clean heart. Be morally upright. Don’t live corrupted. Manage your own appetites. Slow down. And think your own thoughts. Even in a dark world such as ours. There is a dream life. One that is devoid of contamination. So begin by knowing yourself. And only later. Remember other people. The mere fact that you got everything on your table. Does not necessarily mean. You eat everything. Eat only what satisfies your hunger. And cut undisciplined pursuits out of your life. We have a long way to go. And we will not get to our respective destinations constipated or distracted.
